If you don’t know me, then let’s start with introductions. I’m Kirsten S. Blacketer, author of steamy, spicy, swoony, and sweary romance books…my alter ego, Jen Bradlee, writes much the same but with a villainous twist. I’ve been a self-published author for over ten years and I’m addicted to the romance genre!

As an author, I write what I crave as a reader. Stories full of romance, sexual tension, engaging plots, all the tropes, and secondary characters who steal the show before demanding their own books. 😉 I’m looking for more readers who are just like me.

My Reading Checklist

• Romance is my absolute favorite genre. 💖
• I adore seeing unique combinations of tropes.
• I read all the subgenres. Contemporary, historical, fantasy, rom-com, paranormal, etc. If it’s romance, I’ll read it. 😍
• Must have spice/steam. (Spice is sex. Steam is the amount of sex.) The amount will depend on the book, but I like to know what I’m getting into. I don’t like the door slammed in my face.
• I enjoy the occasional long book, but I prefer shorter reads since I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to reading. My body can’t handle those all-nighters to finish a mammoth book anymore.
• Series that each book stands alone in the same universe. Seeing familiar characters appear again makes my little heart happy.
• Subtle pop culture references sprinkled in each book are my kryptonite. I live for that shit!
• Swearing is acceptable (even welcome) if it fits the character and tone of the story.
